What is expected of you? (Site Rules)
Fire Risk Area – No smoking, open fires or open flames allowed outside of the dedicated areas which we will show you at Check-in. If in doubt, don’t light it!
Check-in is available from 3pm to 11 pm daily.
We do not accept any liability for any accidents, injury or illness as a result of using the pool or the hot tub. Please read and follow the guidelines and rules in the Guest Information Folder before use. Misuse that results in damage or requires the emptying of the pool/hot tub will be charged against your security deposit.
We request that our guests do not wear shoes in the Yurts as far as is practical in order to preserve the wooden flooring.
The main outdoor bathroom has an outdoor cold tap, solar heated shower and composting toilet. This is shared with the other guests; please leave it clean. Let us know if the soap or toilet rolls need replacing.
The site has a composting toilet—please follow the instructions for using it and ask us if you are unsure about anything. It is checked daily by us but is not necessarily emptied daily depending on usage. Please let us know if it requires emptying urgently or there are any problems that we might not yet be aware of. If anyone in your party is suffering with a gastric virus or is unwell, please let us know so we can make additional checks and take additional precautions to ensure sanitary conditions for other guests.
Quiet hours are during scheduled class times and after midnight when we ask for any music or loud conversations to be suspended.
The whole site is supplied by a natural spring, which can run low in summer so we kindly ask our guests to follow water conservation tips and not leave any taps running when not in use.
Please wash up your own dishes and cooking equipment and clean up any spillage that may have occurred while you were cooking. We ask our guests to remember and respect that there may be other guests with allergies or specific dietary requirements, so cleaning up thoroughly after using the kitchen equipment, dishes, chopping boards, etc is important.
The Yurt will be clean on your arrival, we do not charge a cleaning fee so we ask that you leave it neat and free of rubbish on your departure; because if a greater than normal cleaning service is required, then a fee will be charged from your security deposit.
Our place is on a steep hill and it is very rural and rustic in nature, there are some steep drops and rustic steps around, so please make sure you move around with care and make sure you keep a close eye on your children.
Children should be fully supervised by a responsible adult at all times for their own safety.
If you are bringing a pet, please bring a dog basket and keep water and food bowls outside of the yurt. Please keep your pets under control at all times and clean up any mess. Please do not let your pets sleep in or on the beds.
If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. No refund will be offered or given in these circumstances.
Please report any breakages or problems to us as soon as possible.
Check out is by 10am on your day of departure. There is a check-out procedure to follow in the guest information folder.
As part of the eco focus we ask our guests to deposit their refuse in a communal area at the end of their stay, where it will be added to the other waste to go to the local recycling centre. The recycling centre has very strict rules about recycling and guests are asked to take particular attention to sorting their waste. Please ask if you are unsure what goes into each bin.
Finally – Please do not leave any electrical appliances switched on when they are not in use, or when you are leaving for the day.
If you have read this far, THANK YOU so much for being a SUPER GUEST!
